Houdini Paddy

Paddy has decided to make a mid-life career change from Dog to Escape Artist. She has magically and quietly appeared on the other side of the fence three times in the last week (once when there were 10 people in the room - without anyone hearing or seeing anything and without leaving any evidence)! It became critical last night when, while Ariel and I were upstairs, we heard our landlord scream and we ran downstairs to learn that Paddy had escaped and chased Couscous (our landlord's cat and Paddy's arch-enemy) into our landlord's home, tore through the place knocking things over left and right, and finally chased the poor cat back outside and down the street. Ariel and I finally lured Paddy to us by telling her that we would take her on a walk. Ironic that the only thing more appealing to Paddy than walking around the neighborhood is doing the same thing with a rope tied around her neck.

So the question remains, how exactly is Paddy escaping? That's where we need your help. As best we can tell she is either jumping over the wall or somehow climbing through the fence. The wall is about 40 inches tall and the fence is secured at the top and bottom on each side and in the middle on the bottom.

We think they know how she is doing it. She jumps over the wall to the other side. Please, tell her to behave herself! Do you think that when y'all leave Coconut may be allowed to come back too?

She's way too fluffy to fit through that fence. Besides, if she did, you'd have pieces of fluff on the fence and all over the floor too!

So she must be jumping over, but that's pretty amazing if NO ONE heard her do it. I can't imagine that she lands very gracefully on the other side!
